Character Bio: Both Tycan's father and grandfather served as head of the royal guard of Serenno. From the exceptional service the family had given over the years, Tycan was expected to join and one day lead the guard. This happened sooner than most expected, partially due to favoritism and natural expectations promoting him up the ranks quickly, but also because his natural skills exceeded even his father's.
Tycan's Uncle Tynian returned to Serenno a Jedi several years after Tycan was born. Sensing a strong presence of the force he begged his brother to send Tycan to the Jedi academy, but Tyrican refused, determined that his son would succeed him. With special permission from the academy, Tynian was allowed train his nephew in the ways of the force, but was told that Tycan could never reach the rank of Knight until he came to the academy. So Tycan trained in all the ways a young padawan would, being as prepared but never recognised. This training and the force helped him excel even further in the guard.
When he was only fifteen, due to several circumstances, it conspired that there were not enough fighter pilots to escort one of the counts to Coruscant. Tycan volunteered and, after a skirmish with some pirates, fell in love with flying. He trained almost as much in a fighter as in the force, neglecting his other duties in the Royal Guard, but at this stage it was a given in the minds of the Guard that he was to lead them.
When the Clone Wars broke out Tycan was leant to the Republic armies to fight. Arriving on Coruscant, and with his uncle's intervention, Tycan was given some advanced training and assessment, and allowed serve officially as a padawan to his uncle. They lead several missions throughout the war, with Tycan being appointed a night only a month before Order 66. He had yet to be assigned to a squad, and was in transit to the outer rim when it came through and thus escaped the purge.
Laying low for some time he eventually met with Master Furion Qeu'Rel and began to learn more under him. Tycan continued to hone his piloting skills and joined Furion's rebellion to lead a fighter wing. With no confirmed news of his uncle Tycan remains hopeful that he may still be alive, but has found no evidence of this to date.
