All Forms listed here are Found on Wookiepedia, and all custom Styles are not listed here, only official styles that a player can start with. Please note almost every Jedi or Sith is trained with Shii-Cho as it is the foundation of all the other styles, though in some instances it is not taught.
- Form I: Shii-Cho "Way of the Sarlacc" or "Determination Form"
o Form I is the most basic of the seven forms and is learned by every Jedi Youngling. Shii-Cho includes the fundamental elements of all the lightsaber forms including the basic attack, parry, body target zones, and practice drills called velocities.
Rank A- The user has mastered the saber style, they can attack and defend even against multiple targets
Rank B- The user is good at defending their target zones and can hold their own in a duel
Rank C- The user can defend themselves and even reflect some blaster bolts, the user is sufficient at attacking
Rank D- The user can defend themselves decently, and knows a few basic attacks
Rank F- While quickly overwhelmed, the user knows basic blocks - Form II: Makashi "Way of the Ysalamir" or "Contention Form"
o Form II represents the ultimate refinement of lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat. Masters of Makashi develop unique offenses and defenses and train studiously against having their sabers taken or damaged.
Rank A- The user's attacks and defenses can both open up holes in another opponent's stances, but they can throw a weaker opponent down or push them back from pure physical force
Rank B- The user with their knowledge of defense and offense can defend themselves in a way that opens up an enemy easier and then attack them through that opening
Rank C- The user can defend themselves sufficiently and can hold their own against another fighter
Rand D- The user is better at defense making them more likely to successfully parry an incoming attack
Rand F- The user's attacks are a little swifter than normal, however they tend to leave themselves open - Form III: Soresu "Way of the Mynock" or "Resilience Form"
o Form III was first developed in response to the advancement of blaster technology in the galaxy. Soresu's emphasis on tight, efficient movements that expose very minimal target areas, make it the most defensive and passive of the seven forms.
Rank A- The user's defenses are as good as they can be, blocking then reaching forward, grabbing an opponent and severing their arms once you've got an opening isn't unheard of at this level.
Rank B- The user's defenses are so good that they can turn an opponent's attack on them and do damage by tripping up an opponent
Rank C- The user's defenses are top of the line and they can defend against multiple people at once
Rank D- The user can block stronger attacks than usual
Rank F- The user can block attacks a bit faster - Form IV: Ataru "Way of the Hawk-Bat" or "Aggression Form"
o Form IV is the most acrobatic of all the forms and requires a Jedi to first master the Force Run, Jump, and Spin abilities. By incorporating all the Force powers that allow a Jedi to exceed standard norms of physical abilities, Jedi may resemble nothing less than a blur when using this style.
Rank A- Your speed and agility are so good that you can literally fight in circles around an opponent and strike them down quick and clean. You're like a force powered assassin!
Rank B- Your speed is so fast that weaker enemies can get cut down without much chance of being able to defend themselves
Rank C- Your speed and abilities are faster than most and the typical person you take down without much trouble
Rank D- Your attacks are fast enough so that you can overwhelm a slower enemy with effort
Rank F- You can attack and defend a bit faster - Form V: Shien / Djem So "Way of the Krayt Dragon" or "Perseverance Form"
o Form V was also created in response to the advancement and frequency of blaster use in the galaxy. Unlike the strictly defensive style Soresu, Shien exploits the ability of a lightsaber to block blaster bolts and deflect them back at an opponent in a counter-attack maneuver. In a duel, the Djem So variation of this form, which focused on strength, would be used.
Rank A- You're fluid, you can go from defense to attack at the blink of an eye. People don't want to engage you from a range, and people with melee weapons can be dealt with easily if they're not expecting you to be able to adjust to them quickly
Rank B- Your attacks are flawless transitions from defense, not only do you defend well, but you can follow through with attacks
Rank C- You can block blaster bolts very well, you can even hit two or three of the people shooting at you out of instinct you've gained from practice
Rank D- You can block blaster bolts usually good enough to have one or two fly back at the shooter directly
Rank F- You can block baster bolts easier than usual - Form VI: Niman "Way of the Rancor" or "Moderation Form"
o Form VI seeks to balance the emphases of forms I through V. Niman allows a Jedi to fight with harmony and justice without having to resort to powerful, aggressive movements or overt emotion.
Rank A- Your Masters would be proud, in straight up combat, even against multiple opponents usually you're unrivaled
Rank B- You've become very good at surprising people with random thrusts and slices that remove limbs and destroy weapons
Rank C- You can definitely handle yourself in a fight and ending things quickly by severing limbs or destroying weapons isn't uncommon for you
Rank D- In fights you can defend pretty okay and attack well enough to be capable of handling yourself in a fight
Rank F- You can hold your own against weaker level fighters of other styles - Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad "Way of the Vornskr" or "Ferocity Form"
o Juyo instead employs bold, direct movements, more open and kinetic than form V, but not so elaborate as the acrobatic form Ataru. Juyo requires greater energy and intensity out of the practitioner because his focus is wielded more broadly and draw upon from a deeper well of emotion; while the outward bearing of a Form VII practitioner is one of calm, the inner pressure verges on explosive. It was also considered to be the most dangerous in regard to falling to the Dark Side, because it required a certain amount of enjoyment in the fight from the person experiencing it.
Rank A- Your attacks are strong enough to physically move people and throw them back from the amount of strength behind it, you are relentless
Rank B- Your attacks are strong enough to where you can force people to fumble their weapons or break their guards
Rank C- You are intimidating to fight, your swings are strong and can cut through people rather easily
Rank D- It's not uncommon for you to attack with your saber, then throw a punch to catch an enemy off guard
Rank F- Your aggression makes your attacks a bit stronger
