I was thinking, after Oege's total disregard for their own rebel soldiers by pretty much sending much of them to their own deaths just to save his own skin in short, I was thinking it would be very neat to have a Public Relations thing which effects Troop prices for both factions. Kind of a Short term Karma system.
Imperial Effect Negative/Positive Karma:
Only Effects Standard StormTrooper Prices. 50% decrease when Positive, 50% Increase when Negative.
Rebel Factions Effect Negative/Positive Karma:
All Troop Types 50% Price Decrease when Karma is Positive, 100% increase when Karma is Negative.
My Reasoning is much of the Imperial Military is made up of clones all but the Pilots/officers/support personal and even the standard Stormtrooper has a good percent in their ranks that are recruited from across the Galaxy. So really they and Generic support personal, none clone units would be the only units effected by a karma system. While the Rebelion faction's highly rely on recruits, and mercenaries, but with a price, if the Rebels do bad things, it effects their ability to recruit the so called freedom fighters, who believe in fighting for justice, freedom, and democracy, they see a rebel faction do something awful and it gets out into the public and for a period of perhaps a REAL time Week prices for rebel units will be double because it will be a lot harder for them to find people willing to fight for a rebellion such as that. How it effects Mandalorians is that they see people who have zero regards for their safety and will definity charge a higher price for their service because they are not very trusting. Now if rebels do very good things, or the empire decides to turn all pure evil like and level cities the Rebels get a dramatic advantage with all their none machine related units getting a good cost reduction. Empire is barely effected either way, so they don't get that luxary if the rebels do bad things, however it allows for attempts by the Empire to show the Rebelions no matter which rebel faction it may be, to be evil, bad and not good for the greater good of the Galaxy, and actually hurt them not just in battle but in their numbers of soldiers.
Over all it will kind of force people to try playing the GOOD guys atleast try to make their faction look good. UNtil the Empire becomes all powerful, they have to butter up to the civilians and make the Rebels... well look like Terrorist, if they rebels help makethemselves look like Terrorist, well they are only hurting themselves., and it will only help strengthen the Empire's hold over the planets it holds.
I was also thinking of fiddling with Prices and making troop/machine capacity limits on ships like StarDestroyers and such. I don't see how so many Rebels were dropped in front of the old Jedi Temple so quickly was possible, definity in the thousands unless people can not comprohend what a thousand men really means in physical mass. Was thinking for example a StarDestroyer can carry 4000 Additional Troopers *not including the crew that mans the ship* and say has a vehicle capacity of10 slots, *ATAT takes up 3 for example* Fighters will take up 1. AT TEs take up 2, AT ST take up 1. eta eta. Machines like the AT TE should get less bonus effect on the battlefield than an AT AT since it had a smaller troop capacity than an AT AT should make the soldiers they spawn half that of an AT AT, but it also should have it's price droped a full 3rd a think to like 30,000 insted of 50,000, ya the AT AT pwns, AT TE should be cheaper so rebels can have more of them to counter AT ATs. A standard Imperial Shuttle can only carry around 40 men as well... so ya... the Clone Drop ships seen in Episode 2 can carry even less than an Imperial Shuttle. So ouch again. Ya we can have thousands of soldiers but it should be very hard to deploy a lot of them at once. Unlesa StarDestroyer literally goes into a planet's atmosphere and lands, or a large ship similar to those seen in Episode 2 when the clone army arrived, there is no way an entire large force of thousands should be dropped in a single run. Large Shuttles like the big version of that commonly seen Imperial Shuttle can carry a single Heavy unit like an AT AT *not from space to ground on a planet though* around on a planet, or carry inside of it a good number of troops and perhaps two tanks, or two AT STs, or if the rebels get ships similar 1 AT TE, or two smaller vehicles. I don't know the vehicle's actually troop carrying capacity but trying ot keep to wookiepedia's description of what some ships carry would be nice, atleast the none Captial Ships or Cruisers. ie transports/cargo ships/shuttles, ships just for transporting stuff. lol
Only way a large machine like an AT AT can be transported across the galaxy is by a StarDestroyer, or pieces a part and packed into a shuttle and assembled after it arrives on a planet which will take time if it's for a battle. StarDestroyer can drop four AT AT's in a single go, bu tit has to literally get right above the ground and lower them to the ground. smaller machines like AT STs should only be droped by way of shuttles and such, and the smaller shuttles shouldn't carry vehicles at all only troops and very limited numbers like i pointed out that Wookie Pedia I think said the normal Imp shuttle carried only like 40 men. lol
